Aids for navigation

Access keys

Most browsers support going directly to specific links by pressing certain key combinations (hotkeys) defined on the website.

We have enabled hotkeys that make navigation easier:

S: Skip to main content 0: Accessibility 1: Home 2: Company 3: Services 4: Products 5: Snoezelen 6: News 7: mailing list 8: contact 9: Web map

The use of access keys depends on the browser:

  • Internet Explorer: ALT + shortcut + ENTER
  • Firefox: ALT + SHIFT + shortcut
  • Opera: SHIFT + ESC + shortcut

Hidden Menu: Web pages have a hidden link to jump directly to the main content of the page, bypassing the main menu area, which is useful for all those screen reader users who don’t want to “hear” this menu . We can also do it using the S hotkey.

Forms: All form elements have been tagged to expand the activation area and for better recognition by screen readers.

Links: Many links have attributes that describe the link in detail, unless the link text itself fully describes the destination of the link (eg linking to a news item by its title). Links have been written to make sense out of context.

Images: All images contained in these pages include a short description in the ALT attribute.
